How to Bet
To play Table Blackjack, select a chip value by clicking a chip at the bottom of the playing field. The chip you select displays in a raised position. To place a bet, click the betting area on the table. Each time you click, you place one chip on the table.
Your wager must be at least as large as the table minimum limit and cannot exceed the table maximum limit.
After you place your wager, click the DEAL button.
If you wish to repeat your last wager after completing a game, and have sufficient credits, click the REBET button. This restores your previous wager. If you wish, you can adjust your wager. You still need to click the DEAL button to initiate play.
The DOUBLE BET button doubles your currently placed wager every time you click it. If doubling your current wager would cause a wager to exceed the table maximum limit, then the DOUBLE BET button is not available.
If you click the DOUBLE BET button before a wager has been placed, this is equivalent to first clicking the REBET button and then the DOUBLE BET button, and results in the placing of a wager that is twice as large as your prior wager. You still need to click the DEAL button to initiate play.
To remove a wager from the table, either press the SHIFT key and click your chips on the felt, or click the CLEAR button.
Turbo
The TURBO Button quickens the pace of play by eliminating certain animations, such as the dealing of the cards. It does not change the method of play or the rules of the game. When Turbo is on, the button is highlighted in red. You can turn the Turbo feature on or off by clicking it.
The Goal of Blackjack
The goal of Blackjack is to accumulate a card value total that is higher than the Dealer's, without exceeding 21. Start by placing a wager. After placing your wager, click the DEAL button to start play.
You and the Dealer both receive two cards. Both of your cards are dealt face up. One Dealer's card is dealt face down, the other face up.
All face cards are worth 10, Aces are worth either 1 or 11, and all other cards are worth their face value. A Blackjack occurs when the card value total of a hand's first two cards sums to 21 by getting an Ace and a 10-value card. A split hand leading to a two-card value total of 21 is not a Blackjack. (See Split below for more details.)
If the Dealer's face up card is an Ace, you are offered Insurance, which you can accept or decline. If you accept, this automatically places another wager equal to half of your original wager. After the Insurance Bet is accepted or declined, then the Dealer's face down card is checked. If the Dealer does have Blackjack then your Insurance Bet, if any, is paid 2 to 1 and the game ends. If the Dealer does not have Blackjack, then your Insurance Bet is forfeited and play proceeds.
If the Dealer's face up card is a 10-value card, then the Dealer's face down card is also checked, but no Insurance Bet is offered beforehand. Early checking of Dealer Blackjack is a big advantage for the player since it eliminates risking additional Double Down wagers and Split wagers to be lost to a late-revealed Dealer Blackjack.
If the Dealer's hand is a Blackjack, then your wager is forfeited and the game ends. The exception is when you also have a Blackjack, which is a push and your wager is returned.
If the Dealer's hand is not a Blackjack, then you get to play out your hand. If you are dealt a Blackjack on your first two cards and the Dealer does not also have a Blackjack, then your hand is an automatic winner and is paid at 3 to 2. Otherwise, you are given the opportunity to try to improve the outcome of your hand.
Hit - You request an additional card. You can continue to request additional cards until you decide to Stand or until your card value total is 21 (automatic stop) or until you bust by receiving a card which causes your card value total to exceed 21. If you bust, that hand loses and its wager is forfeited.
Stand - You request no further cards and play this hand against the Dealer's hand.
Split - If your first two cards are of the same value, you may click SPLIT to split your cards into two separate hands, which also places an additional wager equal to the original wager. When Aces are split, only one further card may be dealt to each Ace. A split hand leading to a two-card value total of 21 is not a Blackjack. Only one split is allowed per hand -- resplitting is not allowed. This is only allowed if you have sufficient credits to make this additional wager.
Double Down - On your first two cards, you may click DOUBLE DOWN to automatically double your original wager and receive exactly one additional card. If you split any cards other than Aces, you may also double down on the first two cards of either or both split hands. This is only allowed if you have sufficient credits to make this additional wager. This is not offered if the card value total of the first two cards is 21.
Evaluating Your Hand
The card value total is displayed on circular plaques adjacent to each hand. As cards are dealt, the plaque displays an updated card value total. When your hand holds an Ace and the plaque flashes the card value total and the word "Soft", the value displayed is based on counting the Ace as an 11 rather than a 1 (for example, a 5 and an Ace are shown as a Soft 16).
An Ace is not counted as an 11 if doing so would cause the card value total to exceed 21. When comparing your hand versus the Dealer's hand, Aces are evaluated such that they represent the highest possible card value total not exceeding 21.
After your hand is played, the Dealer's face down card is revealed. If your hand is either a bust or an instant Blackjack winner, then the Dealer's hand is not played. Otherwise, the Dealer's hand is played out after your hand is complete.
If the Dealer's card value total is 17 or higher, it is compared against your hand, with the highest sum winning. If the Dealer's card value total is 16 or lower, additional cards are dealt until the Dealer's card value total is 17 or higher. If the Dealer's card value total exceeds 21, the Dealer busts, and you win. In the case of a tie, this is a push and your wager is returned.
Rules - Player
- Blackjack pays 3 to 2.
- If player gets a card value total of 21, regardless of the number of cards, the player must automatically stand and is required to click the Stand button to complete the hand.
- Double down is possible on any two cards whose card value total is less than 21.
- Only 1 split allowed (no re-splitting).
- Player may double-down on either / both initial 2 card hands of a split (except split Aces).
- Blackjack only possible on first two cards (and not on split cards).
- If Aces split, each Ace receives only one card.
- Insurance, if accepted, is half of the initial wager.
- If you do not have sufficient credits to place an Insurance Bet, then no Insurance Bet is allowed.
- If you do not have sufficient credits to Double Down, then the Double Down option is not allowed.
- If you do not have sufficient credits to Split, then the Split option is not allowed.
- Player may draw a maximum of 11 cards for any hand. An 11-card Player hand whose value does not exceed 21 is an automatic winner.
Rules - Dealer
- Dealer must hit on card value totals of 16 or less.
- Dealer must stand on all card value totals of 17 or higher. This includes soft values where an Ace can be counted as an 11 value.
- Insurance Bets are offered when the Dealer's face up card is an Ace.
- Dealer checks for Blackjack when the Dealer's face up card is a 10 or face card, or when the Dealer's face up card is an Ace after Insurance Bets are accepted or declined.
- Dealer Blackjack, when revealed, ends play; player loses wager, unless the player hand is also a Blackjack, in which case it is a push and the wager is returned to the player.
General Rules
- 6 decks of standard playing cards, shuffled for each hand of play.
- Malfunction voids all pays and play.
- Awards are shown in credits.
The long-term, average expected Return to Player % is 99.53% based on good playing strategy.
