There are two main special features in the Devil's Number game, starting with symbol upgrades. When there is a win line of any of the themed symbols, which include the scroll, spellbook, cauldron and skull potions, the "Mark of the Beast" may come up and burn the symbols, upgrading them to pay more in that spin.

If you get a win line of the card value symbols from ten to Ace, the "Mark of the Beast" can still appear. However, instead of upgrading pays, the mark will burn the numbers and remove them from the reels after paying out, allowing additional symbols to fall down and replace them.
