In Wins of Winter, the symbols that you are looking for in the base game are the snowflakes, which disappear and leave behind a blue mark. When a snowflake turns gold, it makes all symbols marked in blue next to it into wilds. Each snowflake that lands will add one to the top meter as well. 

Collect 50 snowflakes for a burst of marked symbols, and each time 150 is reached, the bonus multiplier goes up by one. When the bonus game triggers, whatever multiplier has been built up will apply to the entire game, where you open gift boxes containing cash prizes.
